Turn a course into daily language practice

Immersion works best when lessons and everyday practice support each other. Use class time to work on speaking, listening, reading and writing; afterwards, try the same language when ordering food, shopping or asking for directions.

The core course has 20 group lessons a week. Add five conversation lessons for more speaking time, five private lessons for individual goals, or both. Lessons last 50 minutes and groups have up to 12 students.

What your study week can look like

Build each weekday around your confirmed lesson timetable. After class, leave time to review useful phrases and put them into practice around the city. Extra conversation or private sessions depend on the programme you choose.

Taronja offers an optional cultural and social programme of at least five activities per week. Some activities are free and others have an additional cost. Cooking, cultural visits and social events offer different ways to meet people; ask for the current calendar rather than expecting a fixed itinerary.

A simple daily goal helps: ask a question in a shop, talk about an activity or describe your day over dinner. These are suggestions for your own practice, not scheduled lessons or a promise of fluency in a set number of weeks.

Host family or shared apartment?

A Spanish host family can add conversation during everyday routines and meals. Choose half board or full board when requesting a quote. The family stay is an accommodation option; it does not include private tuition in a teacher’s home.

A shared apartment offers more independence and contact with other students. You may use different languages with housemates, so plan your own Spanish practice. A private studio gives you personal space, with the seasonal price confirmed for your dates.

Choose an immersion stay you can sustain

Beginners need a planned group start; returning learners should confirm a class suited to their current level. Two weeks allows a course with school accommodation, while longer stays give you more time to repeat and extend your daily practice.

Taronja is accredited by Instituto Cervantes and teaches in central Valencia. Request a programme that fits your goals and timetable, then confirm housing, activity costs and booking conditions. Learning progress depends on your level and participation; the course does not promise round-the-clock supervised immersion.

A two-week budget example

Materials are included for A1–B1; the B2–C1 textbook costs €24. Apartment air conditioning adds €30 per week in June–September. Confirm any deposit and the full quote before booking.
